Joanna Marshall

I received my B.S. in Biochemistry from UCLA in 2016 and am now pursuing my Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I am broadly interested in using structural methods such as electron microscopy and x-ray crystallography to understand the molecular basis of disease and apply this to the development of new therapeutics. I’m currently working on solving structures of antibody fragments that bind the human transferrin receptor and could new treatments against the deadly arenaviruses that cause New World Hemorrhagic Fevers.
