I received my B.S in Biochemistry and Minor in Mathematics at Southern Methodist University. As an undergraduate I worked in the lab of Professor Alexander Lippert, where I studied small organic molecules that utilize fluorescence or chemiluminescence chemistry in order to detect small reactive analytes of interest and other stimuli. I left my hometown of Dallas, Texas to journey half way across the country and join the UCLA Chemistry graduate program in 2019. I am currently interested in investigating racemic assemblies of amyloids in a structural and biochemical context.
