Cristian Payes

About Me

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the National University of Quilmes in Buenos Aires, Argentina. For two years, I worked in the School of Medicine at the University of Buenos Aires studying the relationship between cancer and a mucosal immunomodulatory protein. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in the Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Laboratory at the Institute of Biology and Experimental Medicine (IBYME) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I work on the development of a biotherapeutics targeting South American hemorrhagic fevers, specifically the design of recombinant monoclonal antibodies. I am broadly interested in the rational design of recombinant proteins for the treatment of infectious diseases and cancer.
